Welcome! I’m Lisa and I’m glad you’re here.
I’m a blogger, speaker, and freelance writer specializing in psychology, self-awareness, and intentional living.
I live in central Illinois, but my words have been read across the globe from New Zealand to Germany to my small hometown. After writing on my personal blog for five years while my girls were young, I began speaking and freelance writing. I love helping bloggers and businesses deliver engaging and compelling content to their customers.
My writing combines my education in developmental psychology, my passion for story-telling, and a knack for sentence structure, grammar, and word choice. These skills allow me to produce content that evokes specific emotions and moves people to action. In September 2015, I wrote a blog post that went viral on social media, drawing over 100,000 shares and 1,000,000 views.

Prior to my role as a full-time mom and writer, I worked as a crisis intervention therapist. Then I switched gears and became a leadership development specialist for my alma mater. Both of these roles have boosted my understanding of my content area and aided my ability to connect with diverse people in various stages of life.
When I’m not producing content for others, I share stories and articles on my blog, “Quiet Relief for Busy Minds.” Using my professional background and my personal experience with anxiety management, I help people calm their stress and anxiety through self-awareness and intentional living.
In my free time, I enjoy reading, scrapbooking the old fashioned way, and perfecting my tree pose on my yoga mat. The rest of the time you can find me chasing my kids or challenging my husband to movie quote duels.
